Beautiful Souls

The other day I saw a post from a friend on Facebook that saddened me. She receives negative feedback on some of the information she shares about her journey to healing. I'm not sure why people think they know what's best for her and her journey. Or why they feel the need to tear her down or question her on social media. She has been through a lot, and I think she is a beautiful soul. Unfortunately, beautiful souls are often misunderstood. Their journeys are often filled with challenges and trials that help them become these amazing people that see the world a little differently, and people aren't comfortable with different.

We only need to look at the life of Jesus Christ to see that this is true. He has the most beautiful soul, filled with love, wisdom, compassion, faith, and hope. His teachings seemed foreign to those living in his time, and they still remain controversial today. Why? His whole goal is to bring us life, eternal life, joy, love, and hope. Yet there will always be members of society that try to tear Him down and claim His teachings false. His ways are different than the worlds ways, this makes people uncomfortable, so they try to destroy Him and his teachings.

I love the beautiful souls of this world. I like people that challenge my thinking and stretch me to look beyond my ways and comfort zone and to see things in a new way. I enjoy hearing their stories and getting a look into what makes them who they are, why they think the way they do and how it has affected their choices in life. I am so blessed to have so many beautiful souls in my life. Each of them has made me a better person. They have taught me to love people where they are at in their journey. They have taught me to think outside the box and look at things and situations from multiple viewpoints. They have taught me it's okay to be true, even when it can cause others to feel uncomfortable. My world would be very narrow without them.

To those beautiful souls in my life that are being challenged by the judgments of others, I want to say I love you. God loves you. Hang in there. Keep being yourself. Let the world see your amazingness in all its glory and know that I have your back. I will stand by you. Know that the world is a much more interesting place with you in it. I appreciate your beauty and I hope you know it!
